Chronic illness can impact nearly every part of your life—your energy, sleep, concentration, relationships, routines, and ability to do the things that matter to you.
Functional hypnotherapy focuses on that impact. Using hypnosis and nervous system regulation, I help you manage the additional load, recover from difficult periods, and stay as functional as possible while living with a chronic or complex health condition.
If you live with chronic or complex illness, there's a good chance someone has blamed your symptoms on anxiety, stress, or being too focused on your body.
I know how frustrating that is because I live with chronic illness too.
I live with hEDS, dysautonomia/POTS, MCAS, chronic pain, and migraine. I know what it's like when your body suddenly changes the rules—and I know the difference between feeling anxious and having your autonomic nervous system do something you didn't ask it to do.
Functional hypnotherapy starts from a very different place:
Your symptoms are real. Your condition does not need to be caused by anxiety for your nervous system to be part of the solution.
Hypnosis isn't about convincing you that you're fine, thinking positively, or treating a medical condition as psychological. We work with the additional nervous-system load that can build around pain, symptoms, sensory overload, flares, disrupted sleep, medical stress, and the constant work of managing an unpredictable body.
The goal is practical: help your system settle when it can, recover when it gets pushed too far, and preserve more of your capacity for actually living your life.
You may be managing a diagnosed condition, still searching for answers, or simply living with symptoms that make everyday life more difficult.
I work with people experiencing the impact of chronic and complex health conditions, including:
POTS & Dysautonomia
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome & Hypermobility
Migraine
FND
MCAS
IBS & Gut-Brain Disorders
Chronic Pain
Long COVID & Post-Viral Illness
You don't need to prove that your symptoms are real, and you don't need a psychological explanation for them. The focus here is practical: helping your nervous system manage the additional load so you can function better in everyday life.
When your body is already managing pain, dizziness, migraines, digestive issues, sensory overload, fatigue, or unpredictable symptoms, your nervous system has a lot to manage.
Functional hypnotherapy isn't about treating or curing the underlying condition. It's about reducing the additional nervous system load that can make an already difficult day even harder.
Using hypnosis and nervous system regulation, we work toward helping you:
The goal is simple: help you spend less energy fighting your nervous system and more energy living your life.
You don't need to commit to a package or decide how many sessions you'll need before we've even met. Start with your first Functional Hypnotherapy session, see how you respond, and decide from there.
Your first appointment includes a 45-minute virtual pre-session where we'll talk about your symptoms, triggers, daily challenges, and how your condition is impacting your life.
We'll use that information to personalize your 60-minute hypnosis session, available in person or virtually.
If you'd like continued support, additional 60-minute sessions are available as needed. We'll build on what we've already done and adjust each session around what you're experiencing at the time.
No packages. No contracts. Pay as you go.

Yes. Your condition does not need to be caused by anxiety for your nervous system to benefit from learning how to downshift. Functional hypnotherapy focuses on nervous system regulation, reducing additional physiological and emotional load, and helping you function better alongside the medical condition you already have.
No. Functional hypnotherapy does not replace medical treatment or claim to cure POTS, EDS, migraine, MCAS, FND, IBS, chronic pain, or other medical conditions. The goal is to help reduce the impact that nervous system activation, stress, sensory overload, and symptom-related distress can have on your everyday life.
No. You may have an established diagnosis, multiple diagnoses, or still be trying to understand what is happening with your health. We focus on what you are experiencing, how it is impacting your ability to function, and where nervous system regulation may be helpful.
Most people remain aware of what is happening throughout the session. You are not unconscious or out of control. Hypnosis is a focused, deeply relaxed state that allows us to work with automatic responses and patterns while you remain an active participant in the process.
There is no predetermined number. Your first session stands on its own. If you find the work helpful and want additional support, you can schedule follow-up sessions as needed. There are no packages or long-term commitments.
